“The first time I met Jackie , I was immediately impressed with her outstanding knowledge in acupuncture. She was very thorough in her initial evaluation of my current condition and gained my trust and confidence. I complained of a swollen and painful right middle finger most likely due to arthritis . She treated me appropriately and the swelling markedly subsided. Jackie has a great personality and her sincerity, dedication and commitment to treat her patients are impeccable. She is very passionate about her work and she continues to explore the recent advances in the field of acupuncture. I highly recommend her to my friends and colleagues.”

Doula Services
A doula is a birth partner who provides continuous emotional and physical support during labor and birth. Labor can be very intense, and it’s valuable to have a third person present. This neutral third party doesn’t have any attachments or biases, and is there to provide extra support during the birth of your baby. Sometimes the doula may be the only partner present at the birth if the mother doesn’t have anyone else. Moreover, a doula is fully trained to assist the mother into certain positions to ease the intensity of labor pain and speed up the labor process. For example the doula is trained to assist with breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, movement, and positioning to ease labor pains.
Dr. Jacqueline brings her expertise in acupuncture and Chinese medicine together with her doula training to provide even more value to you. Jacqueline uses acupressure to reduce labor pain and help the baby descend with calm and ease. She works with pregnant women throughout their pregnancy in order to establish a relationship prior to the day of birth.
Dr. Jacqueline has served as a volunteer doula at Winthrop Hospital in Mineola. She is comfortable with the standards of care and protocols followed in a hospital setting, and has experience working alongside midwives, nurses, and doctors as a team. She also travels to any birthing center or location where the mother chooses to give birth.
“I was fortunate enough to have Jackie serve as my doula for the birth of my first born baby. Child birth can be pretty overwhelming, especially the first time! Having someone like Jackie to assist with techniques to help moms be more comfortable, breath better, and release tension was so incredibly useful! I truly don’t think I would have experienced such an amazing natural birth if it wasn’t for Jackie’s knowledge and skills. She was so nurturing and kind, and really helped me stay calm. Combined with her knowledge of acupuncture and pressure points you really could not ask for a better qualified doula.”

Reiki
As an energy worker, Dr. Jacqueline has found that Reiki healing comes very naturally to her. It is a gentle yet powerful hands on treatment that can be used alone, or incorporated into other modalities to make them more effective.
Dr. Jacqueline provides Reiki within many contexts:
As a stand alone treatment to enhance the body’s natural healing process.
She sometimes intuitively adds it to her acupuncture treatments.
She also uses it on birthing mamas during labor to relax them.
She received her Reiki training from Diane Stein, author of the book Essential Reiki, which is used in many Reiki training programs around the world. Dr. Jacqueline traveled to Florida in the midst of her busy schedule to learn from this venerated teacher. She made it a high priority to receive all of her attunements and teachings from Diane herself, because learning from the best makes her treatments that much more powerful.
Dr. Jacqueline maintains her own practice and daily rituals of yoga, meditation, and healthy eating to keep her Qi strong. This helps her to facilitate healing within her patients. Healthy living is a must for her work and it shows up in her treatments. Jacqueline is a firm believer that in order to promote optimal health for others, you must have optimal health yourself.
“Throughout the years I have tried various healing modalities for my chronic back pain and ailments. It has become clear that not all acupuncture is equal. Jacqueline’s therapy entails the use of various techniques in addition to acupuncture. In my experience, based on my ailments and needs, I received reiki, aromatherapy, cupping, acupressure, massage and was given a thorough nutritional and exercise plan to carry out. I was also educated on the importance of regular breathing, relaxation, and meditation techniques. This is what my professional healer, Dr. Jacqueline Delgadillo, provides. The healing atmosphere her office, her presence and her professional expertise is very unique and I would highly recommend the experience.”
