Why I Became an Acupuncturist

In my first semester of massage therapy school I started getting terrible back pain from working as a dental assistant. For treatment, I would get massage therapy between classes. One day the massage therapist suggested I try acupuncture since the massage only gave me temporary relief. After my first acupuncture treatment, my back didn’t hurt for 3 months straight! I became curious about how it worked, did the research, and the following semester switched majors and never looked back. I believe acupuncture is one of the best professions on Earth. My favorite part is the feedback that I get from my patients about how well their bodies respond to treatments. The human body is so fascinating to me. It’s a miracle in and of itself.

“The first time I received acupuncture several years ago was with Jackie. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was a bit skeptical at first but I had such an amazing experience! I was so happy that she introduced me to the world of acupuncture because it’s so useful in many different settings. Over the years, I continued going to Jackie for arm pain, back pain, anxiety and stress. Each time I met with her I received such courteous and professional treatment. I had the opportunity to see Jackie grow and mature in her practice and she continues to refine her skills. Her bedside manners, attentional to detail, and caring personality make her a top notch acupuncturist.”
